Hi, I'm Severin Lindenmann 👋
I'm a passionate Data Engineer with a background in Mobility, Data Science, and Economics. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Economics and Data Science in Mobility at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which grounded me in both technology and business.
Today, I help teams build reliable data products, automate delivery pipelines, and create developer experiences that feel effortless.
What I'm doing now
Currently, I work as a Data & DevOps Engineer / Consultant at ALTYCA (since September 2025), based in Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid). In this role, I focus on:
- Designing and implementing robust data platforms to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
- Consulting and supporting teams in optimizing DevOps processes and developing Python and SQL solutions.
- Enhancing development efficiency with tools like Git and GitHub Copilot.
- Implementing central data analytics platforms using Azure Databricks.
- Migrating Qlik dashboards to Power BI.
- Developing custom Python frameworks for metadata management.
- Automating CI/CD pipelines using SQL and Spark.
- Defining and establishing development processes and introducing tools such as Git and Visual Studio Code.
Where I've been
In my previous roles, I have contributed significantly to a range of data and product initiatives:
- Data Engineer — b.telligent: developed data warehouse solutions and ETL pipelines with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, and Fabric—turning raw data into reliable insights.
- CTO & Full Stack Developer — Voicy AG: built a voice-first web app for organisational self-reflection powered by AI-based data analysis.
- CTO & Data Scientist — Layer: launched Layer.swiss, a spin-off from Oberholzer Digital focused on data-driven business solutions for SMEs in the marketing sector.
- Consultant — Oberholzer Digital: rolled out data-driven strategies and deployed web analytics stacks for clients.
- Application Manager — Screenimage Systems AG: led the implementation of digital signage software and developed automation solutions.

In my free time, I love exploring new datasets, creating small side projects, and bringing ideas to life with Python and React.
